Flying the flag for Malta Music 2023

WHAT WE DO

Malta Music Export (MME) was established in 2012 in Sliema, initially as a low key way of representing the interests of the local Maltese music industry. MME is now the main Maltese music industry body (the only body) and operates in the areas of education and export to develop artists, musicians and any music connected to Malta through information and advice resources.

We help our clients to establish connections and present their music. MME is the only voice representing Malta music at international showcases, fairs and exhibitions. These include MIDEM in France, The Great Escape in the UK and the Reeperbahn Festival in Germany.

Our services also include consultation, networking and music industry courses as well as artist showcases abroad. From 2012 to 2021 MME were sponsored by only UK or German companies such as long running connection with Music2deal.com with ironically absolutely no funding from Malta. 2023 sees our new website promote Maltese music still further as we seek partnerships with international music trade associations.

Jan 2023 Eurovision Goes Maltese Language

Malta’s Eurovision Song Contest heats in 2023 return with a whopping four quarter-final evenings in the run-up to the semi-final. The final will be held in February.

For the second year running, the MESC winner will be once again selected by a mix of audience votes and judges, marking a return to form for the Maltese competition.

That's not all folks, six contestants are hoping to triumph in the Maltese language. Artists Aidan, Clintess, Christian Arding, Maria Debono, Marie Claire and Mikhail will present their songs singing in Maltese, hoping to take to Liverpool a Maltese entry sung in Maltese.
